About SkyHyve
Our Story
From day one, SkyHyve has focused on helping schools build stronger academic workflows, more reliable assessment data, and better-informed decisions.
SkyHyve is a school markbook and academic analytics platform for Australian secondary schools.
Today SkyHyve supports schools through academic record management, HSC and VCE predictions, performance tracking, student rankings, and specialist analytical services.
Years of working alongside schools made one thing clear.
Better academic decisions require reliable data and a clear understanding of performance.
In many schools, neither side of that equation was being served well. Assessment data was fragmented across spreadsheets and staff, while analytics often relied on simplistic rankings, isolated reports, or methods that struggled to stand up when decisions were challenged.
That's why SkyHyve was built.

Together, the two platforms carry the from markbook to meaning promise: reliable workflows for capturing assessment data, and reliable methods for understanding it.
Building a trusted source of assessment data solved only part of the problem. Schools also needed reliable ways to understand performance and turn assessment data into meaningful insight.
The School Statistical Suite grew from that need, applying rigorous statistical methods to support predictions, performance tracking, rankings, and academic decision-making.
Along the way, we've helped schools bring consistency to their data, simplify internal processes, and maintain continuity through staff transitions.
Leadership
Robert Graham, Managing Director, brings extensive executive and senior leadership experience across leading independent schools in Sydney. He has led school strategy and operations, working within strong governance frameworks and ensuring that systems supported classroom excellence and evidence-based decision making.
Throughout his career, Robert has overseen school information systems, reporting processes, and analytics platforms. He understands how systems shape decision-making, and how their limitations can get in the way of clear strategic thinking. He recognises that markbooks can become compliance tools rather than trusted foundations for data integrity and reporting validity, while school analytics too often remain trapped in surface-level metrics that fail to deliver the deep insight needed to drive improvement.
Over time, Robert came to a clear conclusion.
The challenge was never collecting the data. It was trusting it.
Schools need systems that simplify operations without compromising data integrity. Just as important, they need analytics that support valid comparisons and reveal the true picture behind the results. When decisions are tested, whether in the executive team or the boardroom, leaders need confidence in the information behind them.
SkyHyve was shaped by his conviction. Schools should not have to question the integrity of their data or the validity of the insights built upon it. SkyHyve carries forward Robert’s mission to help schools understand what is really happening beneath the numbers, moving schools from markbook to meaning.
