Post HSC Report
A clear review of HSC outcomes, what changed, and what schools can learn from it.
Expected vs actual
Compares actual HSC results against modelled expectations across subjects and ATARs
Same proven modelling
Built on the same statistical foundation as Result Predictions
Evidence for planning
Supports curriculum planning, assessment review, and reporting to leadership
The Post HSC Report helps schools understand their most recent HSC outcomes, not just as final results, but as evidence for planning, review, and improvement.
Using the same modelling foundation as Result Predictions, the report compares actual HSC performance against expected outcomes across subject results and ATARs. It helps identify where results aligned with expectations, where they differed, and what those differences may suggest.
The report supports curriculum planning, internal assessment review, and clear communication of outcomes to leadership teams and stakeholders.
Assessment Estimations
Fair and defensible estimates when illness, misadventure, or missing assessment data affects a result.
Correlation-aware
Accounts for relationships between assessment tasks, not each task in isolation
Fair and defensible
Rigorous estimates that hold up in high-stakes, sensitive situations
Consistent method
Replaces ad-hoc z-scores, raw ranks, and weighted percentages
Each year, schools face the complex challenge of managing assessment misadventure. In these situations, students deserve genuine support, and any performance estimates must remain fair as well as statistically defensible.
In practice, this process is often managed on a subject-by-subject basis using familiar methods such as z-scores, raw ranks, and weighted percentages. These approaches treat each task in isolation and rely on assumptions about distributions that do not always hold, which can introduce bias and inconsistency. The result is outcomes that may feel unfair or difficult to defend, particularly in high-stakes or emotionally sensitive situations.
Our Assessment Estimations service replaces these inconsistent approaches with a structured statistical approach that considers relationships between assessment tasks and the student's broader performance record. By accounting for correlations between assessment tasks and applying rigorous statistical methods, we produce estimates that are fairer, more consistent, and easier to defend.
This approach simplifies the estimation process for schools, strengthens transparency, and reassures students and families that their circumstances have been handled with care and consistency.
Other Services and Software
Custom reporting, integrations, and data tools for problems that do not fit neatly into a standard product.
Custom reporting
Bespoke reports for problems that do not fit a standard product
Integrations
Connect systems like TASS and Schoolbox to cut manual transfer
Workflow tools
School-specific applications and data tools built for your environment
Some academic data problems do not fit a standard report. SkyHyve takes on custom reporting, integrations, workflow tools, and school-specific applications where standard reporting falls short.
Whether you're looking to streamline internal workflows, visualise complex datasets, or bridge the gap between platforms, our team combines deep expertise in software development, data analytics, and school systems to deliver practical, reliable solutions that work in your environment.
Earlier work included a custom self-hosted pipeline for Santa Sabina College, Strathfield, connecting Schoolbox and TASS to reduce manual transfer and data integrity risk. That kind of work informs the integrations built into the Managed Markbook.
If your school needs a specific report, integration, or data tool, we can help work out the right approach.
